Jackie Alvarado is a storyteller originally from Colorado Springs, Colorado. She used to teach English to children in South Korea, which evolved to writing stories for the Korean publishing house Key Publications. She’s been awarded the Boyds Mills literary scholarship. In 2025, she was long-listed for the Black Fox writing prize. She currently works as a book interior designer for HarperCollins in New York.
